Huge House Hates by Stephanie Brother

Huge House Hates by Stephanie Brother

Huge House Hates by Stephanie Brother is one wild roller coaster ride! This story is so good that I could not put it down – started and was completed in just a few hours!

The Carlton brothers prank hard and love hard and Cora could give as good as she got! Even though Tobias is the youngest (I’m guessing 21) I couldn’t help but be attracted to him the most from the beginning. But each brother brought something unique and endearing to the story and relationship. In Cora’s shoes, I’d fall in love with them, too.

Personally, I am not a fan of pranks so that was a strike for me against them. Thankfully, there were less-impulsive brothers to sort or rein in the prankster (if only by a little bit). With the Carlton brothers, it is either you love them or hate them.

The pranks get out of hand and at times are downright cruel. Eventually, a truce gets called. When a bad penny from Cora’s past shows up at their doorstep and traumatized her, their dynamics change and a relationship starts to develop.

As always, Stephanie Brother’s books are designed to make us feel good … HEA guaranteed. You can get a copy of Huge House Hates by Stephanie Brother on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback versions.

V My Beauty Deer Placenta+: Stem Cell Therapy in a Bottle

V My Beauty Deer Placenta+: Stem Cell Therapy in a Bottle

Madonna and Mike Tyson

We hear about celebrities and politicians who have been undergoing stem cell therapy to keep themselves youthful and healthy – people like Madonna and Mike Tyson, just to name a couple you may know. In the Philippines, local politicians like former President Joseph Estrada, former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, and former Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile have all admitted to undergoing stem cell therapy themselves.

For regular Joes and Janes stem cell therapy is nothing more than a pipe dream as it is quite expensive and most of us do not have millions just lying around to spend, even if it is for our health and wellness. Besides the rich and famous, who else has that much money to spare, right?

Stem Cell Therapy made more affordable

Stem cell therapy is usually administered through an intravenous (IV) drip, intrathecal (directly through the spinal cord, or via injections.  In recent years, research has provided an option for the oral delivery of stem cells. This method has made stem cell therapy more acceptable to most people, as it could be self-administered and does not require hospitalization.

The newest player in oral stem cell supplements is V My Beauty Deer Placenta+. It is classified as a food supplement, not medicine, so is deemed safe for daily consumption. Add to that, it is FDA approved! One bottle contains 20 capsules. If taken for medicinal purposes one bottle is good for 15 days.  If the purpose is as a supplement, like vitamins, one bottle would be sufficient for 1 month (30 days).

How did V My Beauty Deer Placenta+ come about?

V My Beauty Deer Placenta+ is named after the wife of one of the company’s proponents, Vivienne. The creation of this product stemmed from an urge to provide a possible cure or relief from the illness that Vivienne’s father was suffering from. At the same, he was starting to feel rundown. Having heard of the restorative powers of stem cells, he decided to try it himself. In less than a month’s time, he noticed changes in his body. He felt stronger, was more vigorous, and had more energy throughout the day. This affirmed his resolve to mass-produce this product and share its curative effects with other people.

V My Beauty Deer Placenta+ is officially launched!

On May 26, 2022, V My Beauty Deer Placenta+ was officially launched at La Reve in Quezon City. It was a swanky event with men and women dressed to the nines. Led by a youthful group of gentlemen who represent the top brass of the company, this event brought together all the people involved in the promotion and sales of V My Beauty Deer Placenta+.

Where can I find V My Beauty Deer Placenta+?

The proponents of V My Beauty Deer Placenta+ all share a background in multi-level marketing. In their many years in this business model, they’ve decided that this is what will work in distributing and promoting this product.

Becoming a distributor is easy. Purchase the first bottle at full price and you are already a distributor.  After that, every purchase you make comes at a substantial discount.  This, of course, translates to great income for every sale that you make.

V My Beauty Deer Placenta+ is not available in popular drugstores. Instead, you can purchase it from authorized distributors or from their official Facebook page.

Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals performs 100 liver transplants in Filipino children

Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals performs 100 liver transplants in Filipino children

Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, Delhi has reached the landmark of performing 100 liver transplants in children from the Philippines. Aged between 4 months and 15 years, children suffering from various diseases that had resulted in liver failure necessitating a transplant have received a liver transplant.

Despite COVID posing several challenges in the last 2 years, Apollo made sure that children and their families were provided end-to-end assistance in terms of aligning travel permissions while also ascertaining patient safety by arranging special charter flights with a medical team on board to manage any emergencies.

Mr. P Shivakumar, Managing Director – Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, asserted: “Apollo Hospitals leads the way in delivering cross-border care for children. Our approach is aligned with Apollo’s overarching objective of providing prompt delivery of healthcare services, notwithstanding myriad constraints. This becomes even more important when it comes to caring for children. We believe there is no greater joy than seeing the smiles of children who have been saved by our timely medical intervention.”

Group Medical Director and Senior Pediatric Gastroenterologist, Apollo Hospitals Group – Dr. (Prof.) Anupam Sibal, stated: “Apollo Hospitals has been receiving children with liver failure from the Philippines for the last five years. Fortunately, we have been able to help many families from different parts of the Philippines.

We would like to thank families for their trust as we mark the landmark of 100 liver transplants in babies and children from the Philippines. Despite COVID restrictions, we have transplanted 53 children in the last 2 years. The youngest child to be operated on was 4 months. Significantly, babies weighing barely 3.5kgs have also had liver transplants at Apollo Hospitals. Our initiative has been facilitated by the immense support from the Embassies which helped to ease the travel formalities for patients. The Apollo Liver Transplant Program, the first successful program in India which was established in 1998 has now performed more than 3950 liver transplants including 458 in children from 20 countries”.

Senior Liver Transplant Surgeon at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Dr. Neerav Goyal, said, “In a liver transplant, surgery is performed when patients have a high risk of dying from their disease in the ensuing weeks to months. Since COVID-19 is not going away anytime soon, many of these patients were unlikely to survive the period of the pandemic without a liver transplant, and the patients despite several challenges traveled to us. We are happy that we can help them by easing their pain and providing a new lease on life. In 65% of children, the donors were mothers, in 30 % fathers and 5 % other blood relatives.”

About Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals: Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, India’s first JCI accredited hospital, is a joint venture between the Government of Delhi and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited. Commissioned in July 1996, it is the third super-specialty tertiary care hospital set up by the Apollo Hospitals Group. Spread over 15 acres, it houses 57 specialties with more than 300 specialists and more than 700 operational beds, 19 operation theatres, 138 ICU beds, round-the-clock pharmacy, NABL accredited laboratories, 24-hour emergency services, and an active air ambulance service. Apollo Hospitals Delhi has the leading program in kidney and liver transplants in the country.

The first successful pediatrics and adult liver transplants in India were performed at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals. The hospital is at the forefront of medical technology and expertise. It provides a complete range of the latest diagnostic, medical, and surgical facilities for the care of its patients. The Hospital has introduced the most sophisticated imaging technology to India with the introduction of 64 slices CT and 3 Tesla MRI, Novalis Tx, and the integrated PET Suite. Indraprastha Apollo has also pioneered the concept of preventive health check programs and has created a satisfied customer base over decades. The Hospital has been consistently ranked among the best 10 hospitals in India by The Week survey for the past few years.

Filipino artist Bjorn Calleja is featured in Art Basel Hong Kong

Filipino artist Bjorn Calleja is featured in Art Basel Hong Kong

Multi-disciplinary artist and Far Eastern University alumnus Bjorn Calleja, whose work has been exhibited in galleries both locally and internationally, such as headlining the recently held Art Fair Philippines 2022, takes another step forward into the non-fungible token (NFT) space as the lone Filipino artist whose work will be exhibited during the pioneering interactive art exhibit entitled “NFTs + The Ever-Evolving World of Art” at Art Basel Hong Kong.

The exhibit, organized by blockchain firm TZ APAC and Art Basel, will commence from May 27 to May 29 in Hong Kong’s Convention & Exhibition Center. Including Calleja, the event will showcase the works of over 20 contemporary “generative” digital artists from around the world. The interactive exhibition space will also feature a showcase designed in collaboration with FXhash, the leading generative art platform on the Tezos blockchain, allowing visitors to receive a unique generative artwork NFT from participating artists in a first-of-its-kind interactive NFT gallery experience.

Bjorn Calleja’s art style is described as a reflection of the interplay between the micro and macrocosms of humans within and against their environments. He described one of his NFT projects, Stoopid Avatar, as his “satirical commentary on my outsider’s perspective on the PFP culture.”

“I think as a contemporary artist minting NFTs, the value should exceed utility and marketing gimmicks, nothing against them but I understand that it’s a long game and there is more to Art than these tangibles,” Calleja’s remarks on NFTs, which are unique digital assets on the blockchain.

In line with this year’s theme of ‘NFTs + the Ever-Evolving World of Art’, Katherine Ng mentioned that TZ APAC is “excited to showcase especially innovative works that point to NFTs and their limitlessness as a medium, empowering artists as it redefines the scope and scale of today’s art world in the digital age.”

“It’s time that we recognize this new generation of digital talent in a traditional forum as the worlds of modern art, technology, and the creator economy continue to converge,” she added.

“As the leading contemporary art fair in the world, it’s exciting to once again see the art community able to gather and celebrate the spirit of innovation in today’s art scene. To have the opportunity to showcase some of the world’s leading digital art talent is at the heart of what the Tezos ecosystem is celebrated for. NFTs have given these creators an unprecedented opportunity to reach new audiences, hone their craft, and make a name for themselves in an online forum, effectively rewriting the rulebook when it comes to the accessibility of the art world,” said Katherine Ng, Head of Marketing and Operations at TZ APAC.

The other international artist featured in the exhibit are; Nicolas Sassoon (France) Qingnan Tan (Random Combo) (China), Chaeseok (CS) Lim (South Korea), Lionel Radisson (makio135) (France), Yazid Azahari (Brunei), Munira Hamzah (Mumu the stan) (Malaysia), Iskra Velitchkova (Bulgaria), Michaël Zancan (France), Sarah Ridgley (United States), Aleksandra Jovanić (Serbia), Park Se Jin (08AM) (South Korea), Fan Yi Wen (Reva) (China), Matt DesLauriers (Canada), and Wieslaw Borkowski (baiwei) (Poland).

Art Basel, Hong Kong 2022 will highlight artworks from 130 local and international exhibitors. For those unable to attend the event in person, galleries will also be presenting their work online as part of ‘Art Basel Live: Hong Kong,’ in dedicated Online Viewing Rooms.

What are NFTs?

A non-fungible token (NFT) is a unique token that is utilized to represent various types of digital assets like artworks, game items, skins, music, videos, books, etc that are verified on a blockchain. The contents of the NFTs are usually stored in a decentralized data storage platform.

What is Generative Art?

The use of an algorithm or computer code to generate art. The artist creates the rules using a program like FxHash, and then the program will generate the art on the artist’s behalf.

Four Fun by Stephanie Brother

Four Fun by Stephanie Brother

Four Fun by Stephanie Brother is unique in that from the very beginning, we, the readers, are told that Becca only wants sex, no relationship!

While women who know what they want and go after it is not uncommon for Stephanie’s female lead characters, Becca has to be the most determined I have ever encountered. Her encounters with these four delicious men are just amazing on so many levels. I tend to immerse myself in the characters as I read so I would be alternately highly aroused, highly amused, puzzled, etc.

As a reader, I already know from the get-go where the story is going so I must admit to being impatient for Becca to realize who the roommates are. The reveal was epic! But I must admit, Shane stole my heart on the first night. He was so tender and loving that I wanted to slap Becca on the back of her head for being so distant and insisting on a one-nighter.

Four Fun by Stephanie Brother is DEFINITELY a MUST-READ! You can get a copy of this book in Kindle or paperback formats on Amazon. Don’t forget to read the other books in the series!

Holcim Philippines partners with Build Change for disaster-resilient construction

Holcim Philippines partners with Build Change for disaster-resilient construction

As part of its commitment to help advance progress in the country, leading building solutions provider Holcim Philippines, Inc. is proud to partner with Build Change Philippines, an organization focused on building disaster-resilient homes in developing nations, to strengthen local structures against natural calamities.

Holcim Philippines Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Zoe Sibala and Build Change Philippines Country Director Arnel Capili sealed the partnership on May 11 to work on disaster-resilient housing projects and advocate this approach among stakeholders. The parties agreed to work together to initially support areas impacted by super Typhoon Odette in 2021.

From right are Build Change Philippines Program Officer Marvin Daryl Riego, Country Director Arnel Capili, Holcim Philippines Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Zoe Sibala, and Vice President for Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility Cara Ramirez during the signing activity of the partnership for disaster-resilient construction on May 11.

The partners will collaborate on possible projects to build or retrofit houses, schools, and evacuation centers for disaster resilience and capacity-building through training and advocacy of policies or financing strategies to key stakeholders. Finally, both organizations are committed to developing a scalable affordable housing program in collaboration with other key stakeholders like microfinance institutions to increase access to affordable, disaster-resilient homes, particularly for the more vulnerable segments of society.

Capili highlighted the importance of making structures more resilient in the Philippines given its vulnerability to natural disasters such as earthquakes and storms since the country is within the Pacific Ring of Fire and the typhoon belt. He added that climate change further heightens these threats as it intensifies extreme weather around the world.

“The advocacy of Build Change is to build resilient houses and provide Filipinos a safe space when these disasters come. This partnership will help make that come true. This will be as solid as Holcim cement, durable as Build Change house, and as lasting as the friendship and camaraderie that we will forge with Holcim Philippines,” he said.

Sibala, meanwhile, noted the relevance of the partnership to the Company’s commitment to building inclusive progress in the country.

“Owning a home remains an elusive dream for many Filipinos. Build Change has been paving the way for increased access to affordable, decent, and resilient homes in the country so we are happy to complement this effort. This partnership also demonstrates that we can deliver business value while addressing social issues and the key to this is a credible partner with a strong track record. Through our innovative and sustainable building solutions, and with the right products for the right applications we look to help Build Change in its mission of building more resilient homes and realize our vision of building greener, smarter, and for all,” she said.

Holcim Philippines Vice President and Head of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility Cara Ramirez, meanwhile, noted that the partnership strengthens the company’s support for communities to be more disaster resilient having done such projects for survivors of Typhoon Pablo in Compostella Valley and neighbors of its Davao Plant living in flood-prone areas.

“This supports our commitment to building progress in the Philippines by contributing to making homes more resilient against extreme weather and natural disasters caused by climate change Doing so allows us to contribute to sustainable development as the lives and property of our countrymen are better protected,” she added.

Build Change has worked in the Philippines since Typhoon Yolanda in 2013. During this period, it has supported both post-disaster reconstructions and works to prevent housing loss against future disasters. Among its accomplishments is the construction of over 2,000 safer buildings for 40,000 people, training of over 4,700 individuals in safe construction practices, creation of 560 jobs, and expansion of its network of partners in local government, the business sector for greater impact.
