The Alpha’s Inferno by Reece Barden follows the relationship between Sheriff Marcus, a were-bear, and Leila, a werewolf, the pack princess and sister of Cooper, the Alpha in the first book, The Alpha’s Saviour.
How can a relationship between them progress when one seems so hellbent on self-sabotage? Alpha’s Inferno is so frustrating in that I want to drag Marcus by the hair, sit him down in front of Leila and then bump their heads together so that they could both FINALLY talk and get on board the fated mate train and start making pups/cubs.
Marcus is a bear, and therefore, does not feel the mate bond, even though he finds himself extremely attracted to Leila. Part of the problem, for him, is that she is the pack princess. Since he is the sheriff he doesn’t feel that he has any right to get involved with her.
Leila recognized the mate bond instantly. However, since Marcus seemed hellbent on avoiding her and “doing the right thing” she falls into despair while trying to pretend that all is well so that the rest of the pack (and townspeople) don’t know there is anything wrong.
The story is so interesting that despite the frustration factor, I still kept on reading. This story definitely falls under “slow burn” and it does get pretty hot so I would still recommend it. Let me know if you get frustrated with Marcus as well, lol!
Bears can be so dense!

Spin the Bottle by Effie Greene is a story in the young adult/teen category in Goodnovel. I immediately checked if it was on Amazon as well, and when I found it I bought the book. To be quite frank, it is cheaper to buy a book on Amazon than pay per chapter on reading apps.
I really loved reading this story. The story is light, romantic, and (to a certain extent) innocent … certainly nowhere near the steaminess of other books I have read, which is exactly why I love it!
I like reading YA books every now and then as a palette cleanser and this book is worth the coin. Kudos, author Effie Greene! I also like the fact that the author didn’t push too hard for steamy scenes when it wasn’t necessary.
If you want to give this book a try you can find it on Goodnovel and on Amazon.

The Alpha’s Saviour by Reece Barden is so well-written that I just couldn’t put it down! I started reading it at night and finished in the afternoon of the following day. If not for the need to sleep, I would most likely have read it straight and finished before noon.
I started reading this on Goodnovel because the premise intrigued me. I mean … how often do Alphas need to be saved? Anyone who has read a shifter/werewolf romance knows that the Alpha is the strongest werewolf there is and, often, if anyone needs saving, it is the heroine of the story. As an added twist, she is human and knows nothing about the world of shifters and fated mates.
Reading their romance unfold was such a page-turner. Cooper’s hesitation to let people know that Hayley is his mate to protect her caused her to doubt his feelings for her and the status of their relationship.
While stories between werewolves and humans are not unheard of, it is not that common. I found Reece’s take on it interesting and worth pursuing.
If you would like to read this story, you can find it on Goodnovel and on Amazon in Kindle and paperback versions.

The Hybrid Alpha by Bryant is different from most of the shifter romances I have read because it deals with a same-sex relationship which is not usually tackled in popular shifter stories. However, Bryant does it in such a fun and playful way that even those who might otherwise have a problem with it should be able to enjoy most of it.
Alpha heir Andre D’Amore is fabulous to the core! From a very young age, he knew he was gay and he had no problem letting people know it. Thankfully, he has a supportive family. Andre is impulsive, fun and fab, and always the life of the party. At the same time, as an Alpha, he is also strong, charismatic, authoritative, and effective in leading the pack as interim Alpha while his father is indisposed.
Capt. Darren Delaney of Bloodmoon is sent to Incubi by the Bloodmoon Alpha Logan to aid the Incubi in the war against Madonie. A few minutes after landing they are immediately pulled into an encounter with Madonie.
Of all the places for Darren to sense his mate, he didn’t expect it to be on a battlefield in Italy. Imagine his surprise when the wolf shifted to human form to discover his mate is male. All his life he saw himself as straight, he was never even in a gay relationship. But as Andre says, Darren may never have been gay before, but he is gay for Andre. After all, the Moon Goddess does not make mistakes.
If you are looking for a story that will make you giggle from start to finish, then this is the story for you. You can read this as a stand-alone but of course, it would be more fun if you’ve read Alpha of Nightmares first. I enjoyed every moment of reading it and when you finally get to the sex scenes … phew! fans self Super hot!
You can read The Hybrid Alpha by Bryant on Goodnovel. I am eagerly awaiting its release on Amazon in both Kindle and paperback format. I hope it happens soon.

When I came across The Alpha’s Temptation by Renee Rose and Lee Savino what caught my eye about the preview is that the story is about hackers falling in love. Yes, it is a shifter romance, and yes, the main character is an Alpha werewolf, but for me, that was almost incidental. I was more curious to see how the authors would be able to write this convincingly.
The main characters are Jackson King, the billionaire CEO of a tech company who is a tech whiz, and incidentally, an Alpha with a pack of two. Kylie is human and, in a past life, was the hacker that was able to hack Jackson’s company many years ago. Today, she is there looking for a job.
This story is sizzling, panty-wetting hot! It is also quite difficult to put down. Believe it or not, there are only around 10 chapters but each chapter is weighty as the whole book is more than 200 pages. I still easily finished the book in a few hours.
While, yes, all the steamy scenes were designed to please me, what really appealed to me was the level of intelligence Jackson and Kylie possessed and displayed. When the authors said they were smart, they were not kidding about it. This resonated with me and made them even sexier.
The Alpha’s Temptation by Renee Rose and Lee Savino is the first book of the Bad Boy Alpha series and you can get this on Amazon. Here’s some good news for you … the Kindle version is still FREE! As in $0.00! So, if you are looking for something smart and sexy, this book is something you should consider grabbing right now!
