Mated to the Alpha Twins by Jane Doe

Mated to the Alpha Twins by Jane Doe

I posted a quick recommendation for Mated to the Alpha Twins by Jane Doe on 12 May 2022 on my Facebook and Instagram accounts but I feel like I wasn’t really able to give enough information for a decent review.

Aurora St. Claire is, to all intents and purposes, an orphan. Her dad is still alive but she has never met him. Her mom, who she is now living with after her grandmother passed away, is married to an alcoholic bum and both of them treat her like a waste of space. When her mom is at work her stepfather would hit her and would make sexual advances. Therefore, at an early age, Aurora started working part-time jobs to get out of the house, while at the same time, supporting herself and saving money for college.

Alec and Kane are twins and the kings of campus. The boys wanted to be them and the girls wanted to be with them. From the moment they bumped into Aurora there was something about her that drew them.

Since Alec and Kane are wolves they knew it was the mate bond. The thing is, while they shared most things, as twins are wont to do, they have never shared a woman in the past. But the mate bond tells them that both of them are her mates.

Aurora finds herself strangely attracted to both despite their playing with her and seemingly bullying her. As the story progresses so many things are revealed about Aurora’s true nature, her connection with the boys, and later, the realities of the shifter world. While the story is set in high school for the beginning part of the story, I hesitate to categorize this as YA/Teen as the steamy scenes are just way too steamy! This story needs an 18+ rating.

Jane Doe tells a great story but really needs a good editor. If you can forgive the many grammatical and spelling errors then you will surely enjoy Mated to the Alpha Twins by Jane Doe. You can find it on Goodnovel and on Wattpad, I believe.

Alpha Killian by Jane Doe

Alpha Killian by Jane Doe

I started reading Alpha Killian by Jane Doe almost a year ago while I was in the middle of reading Alpha Asher. In the book, there was a mention of Alpha Killian being his dad. It also mentions how the start of Killian’s relationship with his mate, Asher’s mom, was turbulent, at best.

alpha killianThis got me curious. At the time, Alpha Asher was probably only 70+ chapters in and I was already catching up with the author. Since I hate having to wait for chapters to get written I checked out Alpha Killian and, lo and behold, it was a completed story with 40+ chapters only!

To say I was excited to start reading was an understatement. It gave me a reason to put down Alpha Asher and pick up a new book still in the same “world”. In my mind, I thought of it as a prequel.

In the story, Alpha Killian Desmond is supposed to be this big bad wolf that everyone feared and no one wanted to meet. So you can just imagine Claire Miller’s fear upon learning that Killian is her mate! And yet, with her he is gentle. It goes counter to everything she has heard about him and Killian is desperate to show her what a great mate he could be. Sigh, the power of the mate bond.

Claire’s fear of Killian is based purely on reputation and at the beginning, she was not convinced that she was safe with him, to the point of attempting to run away.

I enjoyed this story because:

  1. It was only 44 chapters long, which meant that Jane Doe tried to tell the entire story quickly without compromising the quality of the story.
  2. While it is established early on how strong and powerful Killian is, with Claire he starts to change … it reads like a Beauty and the Beast story, actually.
  3. Even though the story begins with Claire’s personality not appearing as strong as I would have wanted her to be, over time she became the Luna she was meant to be.

It’s not my favorite, but I don’t hate it. It made me appreciate Alpha Asher more. Alpha Killian by Jane Doe is available for reading on Goodnovel and other reading apps.

My Body Swap With Candi by Jane Doe

My Body Swap With Candi by Jane Doe

My Body Swap With Candi by Jane Doe is a part of the Forced Feminization series. It is only 49 pages long but is it worth $9.99 to buy? That is too steep (thank goodness for Kindle Unlimited) … especially considering that the story feels unfinished and rushed. Pixi gave Chris the same conditions but he somehow didn’t end up getting stuck in Candi’s body. Instead, our main character, whose name I don’t recall being mentioned, ends up swapping bodies with “Candi” and the former host, Chris, ends up in his.

So … what did Chris do differently that allowed him the opportunity to transfer to a new male body? I don’t think it is consistent with the rules and is unfair to the main character.

So after what Chris does intentionally after, our main character is now stuck in Candi’s body and that is it? She has no choice but to service men every 30 minutes for the rest of her life and just live with it. That’s it? End of story?

I don’t need a happy ever after. That isn’t necessary for every story. But it is necessary to go through all the steps of Freytag’s pyramid for it to be a GOOD story: exposition, initial incident, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution, and denouement.

This story missed the last two. It just isn’t right. I feel cheated. This could have been more meaningful than just a parade of blowjobs and fucks.

Jane Doe has written so many better stories than this so while I did not enjoy this, I am not giving up on her yet. Read this if you have a KU subscription, otherwise, don’t bother getting it as you won’t get value for money. 🙁 ⭐⭐
