The success of Luciano Armand in both the Math Olympiad and the Golf Tournaments is a reminder of the power of hard work and dedication and a testament that it is possible to succeed in multiple fields.

Dear Self Aesthetic and Wellness Center celebrates 3 years

Dear Self Aesthetic and Wellness Center celebrates 3 years

It was a success!

After three years of running the business, Dear Self Aesthetic and Wellness Center can finally scream the continuous success of the brand. Despite the challenges brought by the pandemic, Dear Self was able to run the company through their relentless willpower and unceasing trust in the process and in our Lord Almighty.

To celebrate this and thank everyone who has been part of the sweet success, they mounted a mini-Thanksgiving concert titled Love Above All: Dear Self Aesthetic and Wellness Clinic Anniversary Concert at the Elements, Centris, Quezon City, July 24.

“This event is not just to celebrate Dear Self’s success, but more of us giving thanks to everyone who has been an instrument to this success- our employees, our investors, our partners, family, and close friends,” Madam Krystal Tecson-Garalde, CEO of Dear Self Aesthetic and Wellness Clinic said in an after-event interview.

Moreover, the event also celebrated International Self-Care Day. An annual opportunity to spotlight self-care and the benefits that effective self-care can bring to individuals and healthcare systems as a vital foundation of health has been Dear Self’s advocacy since day 1.

“Self, you must remember the importance of loving yourself, embracing your imperfections, accepting your flaws, and turning them into opportunities to be a better version of yourself are the greatest gift you can give not only to yourself but to a hundred more people around you,” Madam Tecson-Garalde stated in her heart-warming opening message.

“Dear Self Family with you I am truly LOVED,” she ended.

The Concert Event

Showtime’s Boom Boom Neri, Gace Abina, and Amina Magat brought the house down with their sizzling hot opening number. This was followed by Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 1’s grand finalist and Star Music Artist, Lucky Robles, who serenaded the crowd while having their sumptuous dinner.

Brand Ambassador Ric Abasola and Theatre Actor and Director Allan Dale Alojipan, event hosts, introduced power women of the music industry: Ms. Pinky Marquez, TV and movie actress, singer, and theatre Idol, amazed the crowd with her rendition of Broadway favorites while Ms. Bituin Escalante, left the audience in awe with her interpretation of Aretha Franklin’s classic, Respect, and Natural Woman.

The audience went wild when Ebe Dancel went up to the stage to perform his band’s classic, Hari ng Sablay, Prom, and Wag Ka Nang Umiyak and his very own single Bawat Daan, which lasted for an hour.

“All these songs are meant to promote self-importance and self-love, kaya mas meaningful sa buong team namin. And our guest artists are all the best, we want to thank them from the bottom of our hearts, for responding to our invite, kahit hindi kami one of the top companies,” Mr. Christian Tecson, Dear Self’s Chief Financial Officer said.

Other Event Highlights

The company also awarded loyal employees for Dear Self Aesthetic and Wellness Center.

“Thank you to our very loving EMPLOYEES, such as staff, branch managers, customer service team, HR team, OM team & marketing team. They are too many to mention, but I swear they are the best,” Ms. Vivien Tecson-Cadivida mentioned in her parting speech.

Moreover, Manufast CEO Clarence Cadivida introduces a new product line that will surely contribute to Dear Self’s business landscape in the next coming years.

On the other hand, the all pink-themed concert event, aside from it as the brand’s official color, was derived from Japan’s Hanami Festival where people enjoy flower viewing. An event that denotes renewal and new beginnings.

“We chose to have this theme because just like the meaning of Japan’s Hanami Festival, Dear Self Aesthetic and Wellness Center is now on another milestone where it can already stand on its own, operate well with all the trainings and the constant education, unti-unti rin nakikilala na sa aesthetic and wellness industry, so indeed a new beginning for the brand,” Mr. Ric Abasola, Dear Self’s Brand Ambassador, Marketing Consultant and one of the event’s hosts, mentioned.

Lastly, madam Tecson-Garalde sent her message of thanks to everyone who supported the company in many different ways, “Mama, papa Dennis, mga anak, Christian, Kenneth, Clarice, Michelle, Clarence, Mhean. Tecson and Garalde family, sir Ric, ma’am Amy, ma’am Jhezel, sir Wayne, our influencers at sa lahat ng kasama namin sa buhay at hanapbuhay Salamat.”

Claimed by the Hunter by Lila Fox

Claimed by the Hunter by Lila Fox

If I had one word to describe Claimed by the Hunter by Lila Fox it would be “rompfest”. The characters of this book, Hunter and Nicole, are just at it like bunnies a lot! But that seems to be the norm for this series.

Nicole opened a bakery there with two human friends who are mated to wolf shifters. While she loves living in the town and being with her friends, she can’t understand why they are having so much sex!

That is until she meets Hunter, the town sheriff, who turns out to be her mate. He also happens to be the brother of Roman who is mated to one of her friends, Brenna.

As the heat overwhelms her the time to get to know each other is set aside for later so that Hunter can “take care of her needs”.

Some things in Lila Fox’s shifter-verse differ from what I’ve read in other shifter stories.

  1. While not all humans know that shifters are real, those aware and can accept them are welcome to co-exist with them and live within their towns.
  2. The Alpha does not (seem to) live in the packhouse and rank does not seem to matter as much although it is acknowledged.
  3. Once mates find each other, they have to jump their bones as soon as possible or both will suffer tremendous pain that builds up if not sated.
  4. When the mate bond is triggered the urge to have sex all the time is not just out of desire but is also a necessity. In other words, it is “for health reasons”.  In the beginning, it is every few minutes, then every hour, then every four hours, until it settles to once a day (at least)
  5. They have to have unprotected sex all the time when mating to assuage the apparently non-stop heat BUT they don’t get pregnant. It isn’t clear how they get pregnant without reading the previous 2 books but I am assuming that it (probably) has something to do with knotting. Although, there wasn’t any mention of knotting in the book so I am just spitballing.

This is a quick read and despite having only 97 pages, other things happen in it aside from sex.

I enjoy sex as much as the next person but if this book were a movie it would probably be entry-level porn.  I say entry-level because it is not as graphic as it could be, most is left to the reader’s imagination. That being said, it feels like all they do is turn around and they are at it again. There are a few of non-sexual tension-filled chapters in the book but shortly after, they are back in bed.

It isn’t among my favorite stories but it was okay for what it was. I enjoyed Nicole’s snarkiness and Hunter’s attentiveness and teasing.

Claimed by the Hunter by Lila Fox is the third book of the Carnal Lust series and can be found on Amazon in Kindle format for $3.99.

Alpha’s Ex-Mate by Stu B

Alpha’s Ex-Mate by Stu B

Raise your hand if you love freebies! If you are one of those people that just raised your hand then you will like this news. Author Stu B has a FREE STORY on Dreame! Yes, you read that correctly. It is 100% free!

Alpha’s Ex-Mate by Stu B is the aforementioned free story. It is about a wolfless girl named Serena, the daughter of an Alpha, who finds herself married off to the Alpha King, Xander.

While their start was rocky, their marriage was passionate and they were happy. Despite many attempts at having a child, Serena kept miscarrying, which cast a shadow on Xander and Serena’s relationship.

Finally, Serena confirms that she is pregnant and can possibly keep this baby, and she rushes to find Xander to tell him the good news. When she found him he was talking to his best friend Hailey. and she overheard them say that he had her family and pack killed.

Devastated she decides to reject him and then flee without letting him know that she was carrying his child.

Years later she returns to the pack on a secret mission and finds herself working for Hailey, who is soon to marry Xander. If she is caught, she will most likely be killed. But if she is successful, her future and that of her son’s will be secure.

What she didn’t count on was the attraction between her and Xander, which only seemed to be getting stronger.

And then there is the interest of the Vampire Prince.

Alpha’s Ex-Mate by Stu B is a slow burn. It is hot and steamy and I’ve already caught up to the latest chapters and still have no idea of where it will go and how it will end. I have some theories, though.

  1. Despite the mutual rejection, Xander and Serena are actually still mates.
  2. The Vampire Prince is a second chance mate.
  3. Hailey is the mastermind of it all.

Did that whet your curiousity? Go to Dreame, click on Alpha’s Ex-Mate by Stu B, and find out for yourself. Once again, it is absolutely FREE!

Billy dela Fuente’s Lesson of Success

Billy dela Fuente’s Lesson of Success

For many in the world of professional consumer direct marketing, Billy dela Fuente needs no introduction.

Together with his wife Josephine, Billy is among the Philippines’ most successful entrepreneurs and direct marketing professionals. He was USANA Health Sciences’ top income earner in the Philippines between 2013 and 2019 and its youngest “Million Dollar Club” member globally, a prestigious recognition of his sales performance.

His 13-year-old organization, XTRM 1-11 (pronounced “Extreme One Eleven”), is present in 8 countries: the United States, Germany, Canada, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Italy.

Billy is an entrepreneur and salesman by heart and a mentor, leader, and inspiration to many. He believes in professionalizing direct marketing as a corporate sales strategy for wider product distribution and an opportunity for enterprising Filipinos to use their talents best.

A Rebel, A Waiter, and an Engineering Student

The third among the four siblings, Billy’s father was an entrepreneur who made money selling chemical supplies. This business meant that the Dela Fuentes were constantly moving across the country. Billy hopped from one school to another until college when he entered the chemical engineering program at the University of Santos Tomas.

While in college, Billy witnessed the downfall of his father’s business and how it affected his life severely. As the family went bankrupt, he was asked to stop his school for the time being to focus on selling soft drinks. But Billy rebelled; he packed up his things and left home, angry with the unwelcome detour of their fortunes.

“It was a difficult period in my life to be alone, broke, hungry, and trying to keep up with my academics. I remember being in debt with almost everyone I knew, and I even sold my SIM card for 50 pesos just to have something to eat on one particular day,” recalls Billy.

He found work as a waiter at Red Ribbon. It was then that he discovered his love for selling and interacting with people. He was so good at upselling cakes that he was frequently rewarded at the end of his shift. He was made a cashier as a result. He eventually left waiting tables as a working student and discovered modeling, a career which he soon realized was not for him.

Having married Josephine in 2009, they found success in direct selling and made it into a partnership that blossomed over the years while tending to 4 growing children. Billy became the Philippines’ first 2-star diamond director (and eventually its first 10-star diamond director). His successive climb eventually reached Asia Pacific; for four years from 2011, he was among the 25 fastest-growing direct sellers in the region. For 2 consecutive years, Billy was also awarded as part of USANA’s Fortune 25, a recognition reserved to top global income earners. He was the first Filipino to be included in this group.

His laurels continued to arrive: In 2017, Billy was awarded by ANCE with its People’s Choice Rising Star Global Best Male Award, and, the year after, he received the Most Outstanding Trainor in the Philippines award from the Junior Chambers International. In the U.S. Billy received the USANA True Health Ambassador Award, a recognition of associates who support USANA’s True Health Foundation through charity, service, and promotion.

“Earning money is different from managing money,” he shares. “You have to know both to achieve your personal ambitions.”

Lifelong Learning and Paying It Forward.

Billy’s ability to form a great team is an important ingredient to his success. Having founded XTRM 1-11 in 2010, he, Josephine, and his core group of leaders expanded the organization internationally to nearly 400,000 associates, and at one point he became the top enroller in Asia Pacific by sponsoring the most number of new direct associates.

Billy’s personality and outlook have made him a popular inspirational speaker, giving 60 talks each year before the pandemic. This record included speaking engagements in Mexico for 15,000 people and South Korea for 10,000 listeners.

He inspires people by going beyond selling, helping them understand purpose and how to make sense of their careers and personal lives. “Everyone has the potential to succeed. The challenge is how to turn that potential energy into kinetic energy,” he says.

He founded and invested in several businesses, including Infinitemedia Corporation, a digital marketing agency and House of Bilao, a restaurant in Pasig; he invested in Xpense, an IT company that provided automatic delivery systems for SMEs; and he was a franchise store owner of a Technomarine shop in Uptown BGC. While these businesses were significantly affected by the pandemic, Billy understands that one learns more from failing than they do from winning. He used these lessons to drive XTRM 1-11 further.

“People often ask me: ‘How do you become driven?’ I acknowledge it can be difficult to push oneself. We are often drawn to settle and take the short route. One should learn or find out about their “Deep Why”. There will be a lot of tests and hardships ahead, but when you know the things that will push you to do greater things in life, you will become unstoppable.”

“Successful people are disciplined. They become winners through consistency,” he shares.

Billy dreams of mentoring up to a million associates both directly and through the mentees he has taught for over a decade and a half. At only 40 years of age, Billy is accelerating forward while paying it forward.
