If you think you have what it takes to be this year’s Superbod, join the Manila go-see event at SM Mega Fashion Hall on February 22-23, 2020.
The contest is open to men and women with Filipino heritage who are 18 to 60 years of age. Anyone within the age group can join as long as they have the passion for health and fitness as a means to become a better version of themselves. Thirty finalists (15 male and 15 female contestants will be chosen) will be selected in the final callbacks.
Finalists will be judged on the following criteria: 20% will be given for both their transformation story and social impact; then 30% will be awarded for body and personality, all totaling to 100%.
A total of ₱1,600,000 is at stake, with grand winners bringing home ₱500,000 each. Two runners up will both take ₱200,000 each while the rest of the 26 finalists will receive a ₱10,000 cash prize, along with other exciting perks and freebies.

They come from different backgrounds and generations, but the new Century Tuna Superbods Ageless winners have one thing in common – they all want to serve as inspiration to other people.
Angel Jones, Johann Ludovica, Jules Aquino and Maureen Montagne have fulfilled their dreams after emerging as winners in the competition. They now serve as fitspirations so that others can become better versions of themselves.
Greg Banzon, EVP and COO of Century Pacific Food, Inc., said, “Through Century Tuna Superbods Ageless, we do not only recognize fit and sexy individuals but also promote healthy lifestyles for everyone regardless of age, gender and status in life.”
This year’s competition, which had its finals at the Cove in Okada Manila, was divided into two categories: the Superbods, which consisted of 20 finalists aged 18-37; and, for the first time, the Ageless category, which consisted of 20 finalists aged 38-50. Montagne and Aquino won in the Superbods category while Jones and Ludovica were the first winners in the Ageless category.
Ageless female grand winner Angel Jones
Jones, a 40-year-old mother of two, found the Century Tuna Superbods Ageless competition a good venue for meeting other people, learning their stories and inspiring others.
She said, “I want to show every woman that it’s possible to have kids, have a career and survive all the struggles but still look fantastic and gorgeous.”
Typical day for her consists of breakfast preparation for her actor son Tony Labrusca at 6AM, workout at 8AM, lunch preparation for her daughter at 10AM, errands and meetings in the afternoon, and finally, a quiet and cozy evening with kids.
Ageless male grand winner Johann Ludovica
On the other hand, Ludovica’s daily activities always include basic fitness routines like basketball, weight lifting and regular gym workout. He remains disciplined, responsible and driven despite the stress caused by his work as a BPO (business process outsourcing) trainer. The 42-year-old is fit, sexy body and self-confident. He advised his fellow contestants to “believe because you can. And if you need help, ask me.”
Superbods female grand winner Maureen Montagne
Although she grew up in the US, female Superbod winner Montagne had always been proud of her Filipino roots and showed her appreciation for her heritage by helping and inspiring Filipino children. The 24-year-old Fil-Am model said, “I hope to use my new found resources to continue volunteering and be able to give back to others.” Montagne stays fit by going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week or doing exercises on a yoga mat at home.

Aquino, like Montagne, also believes in setting goals. His advice for achieving a healthy physique is to stay consistent and do something fun. “Enjoy the activities and have a positive outlook in life and you will reap countless benefits,” the 24-year-old said. His fitness routine includes Olympic lifting, calisthenics, plyometrics, high-intensity interval training or HIIT, animal flow, yoga, plenty of stretching and mobility work, running (long distances or short sprints), and gymnastics.
Indeed, through Century Tuna Superbods Ageless, these four winners have proven that whatever the age, there is no limit and no boundaries to what you can do to be fit, sexy and healthy.
Excitement and anticipation were high as 40 fit, sexy and healthy finalists of Century Tuna Superbods Ageless 2018 surpassed the Ultimate Challenge of the year! Held at the Inflatable Island in Subic, Asia’s biggest floating playground which offers 3, 400 sqm of inflatable activities floating on water, the Century Tuna Superbods Ageless 2018 Ultimate Challenge tested the finalists’ mental and physical fitness.
The challenge was divided into two different categories:
the Superbods category, which consists of 20 finalists ages 18 to 37
the Superbods Ageless category, which consists of 20 finalists ages 38 to 50
The finalists faced five different challenges: Inflatable Relay, Battle of the Generations, Island Cooking Dash, Hakot Cans and Selfie Challenge.
Challenge 1: Inflatable Relay
The first challenge tested the finalists’ agility and endurance. It featured an obstacle relay course consisted of the trampoline, monkey vines, donut tires, wobbly bridges, high balance and Tarzan swing for the Superbods; and wobbly bridges, monkey vines, jungle bars, happy swing and rock climbing for the Superbods Ageless.
Challenge 2: Battle of the Generations
The second challenge was the battle between two generations where Superbods and Ageless finalists competed against each other in answering trivia questions. It tested their quick wit and teamwork.
Challenge 3: Island Cooking Dash
Each successful pair then proceeded to the third challenge dubbed as the ‘Island Cooking Dash’ where they were asked to prepare a special Century Tuna dish. This aimed to test their creativity and resourcefulness. Below are some samples:
Challenge 4: Hakot Cans
The next challenge was the ‘Hakot Cans,’ a test to their critical thinking by strategizing in collecting the most number of Century Tuna cans in 90 seconds.
Challenge 5: Selfie Challenge
And finally, for the social media challenge, the finalists needed to take a photo that answers the question, “WHY AM I THE NEXT CENTURY TUNA SUPERBODS/AGELESS?” Photos will be uploaded to the official account of Century Tuna Superbods.
This highly-anticipated event was hosted by two of the country’s hottest, fittest and most multi-faceted personalities, Sam YG and Amanda Fernandez.
Aside from the Ultimate Challenge, Century Tuna Superbods Ageless 2018 will also host series of exciting events which includes:
a fashion show by Zalora that will feature the finalists on April 7 at Glorietta 3 Activity Center;
the fun Underpants Run at Filinvest City in Alabang, Muntinlupa in the morning of April 8 and
the Electric Spinning Party in BGC Amphitheater in the afternoon.
On April 12, 2018, the much-awaited grand Finals Night will be held at the Cove, Okada Manila.

Cove Manila will also select its Cove Manila Ambassadors who will receive one VIP package to Diplo’s concert on May 11 worth Php 200,000.

Hosted by Raymond Gutierrez and Gelli Victor, the VIP Night Presentation featured the breathtaking finalist reveal, self-introductions, a hot runway presentation, the Superbods Ageless 2018 journey video that gave a behind-the-scene look at the search process, and the sensational mini fashion show presented by Zalora, with the fit and fab men and women finalists strutting their stuff and showing everyone what they’ve got!
Capping off the night was the announcement of the male and female Darling of the Press. The winners were chosen from a live poll conducted among the members of the media who were present at the event.
