My Stepbrother the Dom by Arabella Quinn

My Stepbrother the Dom by Arabella Quinn

Don’t let the book title fool you into thinking that this book is a dark romance. While BDSM is implied, its presence in My Stepbrother the Dom by Arabella Quinn acts more as a way for the main characters to reconnect after intentionally distancing themselves from each other for a long time. It becomes the catalyst that draws them closer to each other than ever before and changes the texture of their relationship.

I found their fumbling with BDSM adorable and realistic. At times, I would be either chuckling or squealing like a schoolgirl at specific scenes. Master Royce’s level 1 (possibly level 2) does it for me.

I also like that Cole is not a rich guy or a bad boy. This is a refreshing change from most of the books I seem to encounter. He isn’t straight-laced either but just the right amount of dangerous. And, can I say, that tat on his chest … so hot! I am really looking forward to fogging up my glasses with these steamy books.

My Stepbrother The Dom by Arabella Quinn made me laugh as they fumbled through scenes and had me engaged as the story unfolded. Happily ever after guaranteed. You can get a copy on Amazon, available in Kindle format and paperback.

The Princes of Ravenwood by Bryant

The Princes of Ravenwood by Bryant

Princes of Ravenwood by Bryant is a departure from the werewolf tales that Bryant is known for. It follows the life of Riko Shiraishi, a high school senior, and her burgeoning relationship with the Frost triplets – Darius, Elijah, and Forrest.

This book made me breathless! While I, personally, cannot fathom how I would handle three identical hotties, I can see how Riko can fall in love with all of them. It is like they are one person split into three! How do I (in her shoes) choose between them?

Each triplet’s personality is so different from the other that it makes me wonder why most people can’t tell them apart, including their parents. Sure, they are identical, and, sure, they like to pretend to be each other to fool people, but one would expect that close friends and especially family would know who is who.

Riko is the first person to see each of them as individuals and could immediately tell them apart. This, perhaps, is the main reason why Darius, Elijah, and Forrest were quickly drawn to her. Polyamory is a complicated relationship dynamic but I get it. And I don’t think I would be able to love just one of them either if I were Riko. In her shoes, I would not be able to pick just one of them either.

While this story is a reverse harem romance, at the same time it does fall under the young adult/teen category so … more story, and less heat but it still gets pretty hot. You can read Princes of Ravenwood by Bryant on Goodnovel or on Amazon where it is available in Kindle and paperback format.

Reuniting with my first love … books

Reuniting with my first love … books

At a very young age, I formed a strong and healthy attachment to books. I cannot recall if our parents ever read stories to us, but I clearly recall the many times growing up when every single one of us in the family would be gathered in the living room, either lying down on the couch, curled up in a chair, sprawled on the floor — each with a book in hand and reading TOGETHER. Oftentimes, we would come up for air to share something interesting or funny that we read and everyone would put down their book to listen and comment.  It was wonderful.  Eventually, we would rotate books and everyone would get to relate.

While we read all types of books, both fictional and non-fictional, in general, we preferred reading fictional works.  I remember when mom and dad gave us a whole set of Nancy Drew books.  I don’t recall my exact age, but I would guess it was at around 10 years old. My sisters and I were so happy! It was the best Christmas gift ever! As we got older our parents allowed us to read different genres of books, much as TV shows and movies are screened for a specific audience today.

With my life being as hectic as it has been for the last couple of years, I haven’t had the chance to indulge myself in quite some time, until recently when circumstances have forced me to slow down and I finally thought about picking up a book instead of watching TV or playing online.

Books come in all forms … paperback, hardcover, electronic (digital), and we are into them ALL! Lately, I’ve found myself spending a lot of time on my tablet or on the iPad mini reading stories on Good Novel, on Amazon Kindle, on iBooks, or on Moonreader. Good Novel, specifically, has taken a lot of my money 😆 when I find myself caught up in a story with no bonus coins available to continue reading.

In the coming days or weeks, I will start posting my reviews of some of the stories I have read recently and the new authors I have come to love. 💖

How to get an LOA from Medicard from 2021 onwards

How to get an LOA from Medicard from 2021 onwards

I posted an article on how to get fast online approval for laboratory tests with MediCard in 2016 and since then (and especially when this pandemic started) I have been deluged by inquiries on a daily basis.  I usually just redirect all inquiries to the Medicard website but the inquiries just won’t stop!  Here is why:

Medicard website 2021

As you can see the MediCard Online LOA tab that was indicated before is missing.  I tried going into the button marked “I’m a Medicard Member” thinking the link must be there but to no avail. I clicked everywhere I possibly could and was met with zilch.  I’m not a Medicard member and I was getting frustrated!

Why couldn’t Medicard just put the link right there?

I thought about it and I came up with the following possible answers:

  1. Because of the pandemic, people were panicking so they were getting LOA requests left and right for RT-PCR tests and antigen tests … more than they could handle
  2. They wanted their members to use the MACE app, available on the Appstore and Googleplay.
  3. They wanted their members to visit their social media accounts, such as the one on Facebook.

How do I request an LOA then?

I did a quick Google search using the keywords “Medicard LOA request” which led me to several infographics by Medicard on the topic.  The most recent one is posted on September 24, 2021.

That infographic has ALL the information you will need TO DATE until a new one is issued. In a nutshell, you have two options: email or call directly.

So, to everyone who wants to know how to get a Medicard LOA, there’s your answer. If they stop working, do let me know and I will help you dig up the information again. In the meantime, stay healthy!
